Music Video
Melanie does a lot of charity work, and feels that this is an important way that an artist can give back to the community. One charity is however very close to her heart. Melanie is the official ambassador for a home in Johannesburg for mentally handicapped children and some adults, called Little Eden, and is involved in all their fundraising activities. Melanie wrote all the songs on her album, and one of them, ‘If I could’, was written for Little Eden, and all the royalties from this track will go to the home. The lyrics are written from the handicapped child’s point of view, asking to be noticed and loved. (Besides the fundraising activities, Melanie often just goes to the home with her guitar, to visit and play some songs with the children.)
The outfit for the music video was designed by award- winning Durban based designer Terence Bray. (The hair of course had extra strong hair spray!)
